One lump in the bed tonight
March 16th, 2012 11:16 pmThere will only be one lump in the bed tonight ...
daecabhir is in Baltimore for the weekend with Shambhala stuff so I am on my own. We haven't spent many nights apart and none in a while; this marks the first time since we've been married.
I had grandiose plans of getting a lot accomplished today but all that went out the window with not feeling so hot. Hopefully my system behaves tomorrow because there is clay to play with and chores that need to be done and - perhaps most importantly - there is a fried chicken dinner at our local firehouse tomorrow night. While I eat less meat than I used to, I still eat chicken and I _really_ enjoy the Richardsville VFD fried chicken. With the back and forth to Baltimore and crazy schedules, I haven't had their yummy chicken in a very long time.
This week featured another doctor day - Dr. Truong! Typically getting stuck with needles is not cause for excitement, let alone an exclamation point, but I am eager to get my back feeling better. She was very understanding about my lapse in visits to see her but did let me know that my back is all sorts of messed up again ... not that I had any doubt of that. After the trigger point injections and 'electro-acupuncture' she had me see the massage therapist who proceeded to tell me that my hamstrings are exceedingly tight. I'll most likely be trekking to Fredericksburg once a week until my back is better.
The one thing that I did get done today was a visit to
njzoomom in the afternoon. We got a few things accomplished and several things out of her house (and most them into my SUV). The studio will have some more shelves, more wood planks to dry greenware on and other assorted goodies.
The pots that I threw earlier in the week are ready for bisque firing and after making up templates, I made several square vases. They need a bit more dry time and then they can be fired as well.
Time for dreamland soon...
