How is that a week has passed since I was last here blabbing about stuff?
This past weekend,
daecabhir and I had a small gaming weekend. It was very nice to see my darling husband have fun playing games; we even played a few that I like. I have this odd rule that if it takes longer than a few minutes to explain the rules of a game then I most likely have no desire to play it.
One of the highlights of the weekend for me came in the unexpected form of clay therapy with
dreamtigress and our friend, Sherri. The three of us spent time in the studio on both Saturday and Sunday and had a grand time. I'll be firing their work along with mine and hopefully get their glazed pieces back to them in a timely fashion.
On Monday,
dreamtigress and I headed north - the plan was to swing by the booth to deliver a piece of furniture to the booth and then drop her off in Baltimore. With gas prices what they are, we took
njzoomom's van for the trip. Sadly, the van wasn't as sure about the trip as we were - about a half an hour from faire, the van bucked a bit and ran a bit wonky. While we made it to faire and then to Baltimore, then van was not happy. It stalled out a few times on the way to dinner and did not run properly on my way home. Said minivan is in the shop now and hopefully the damages are not to great.
Today was farmer's market day in Culpeper and I set up shop. There was only one sale but a lot of people commented on how nice my pottery is and just about everyone who stopped by said that they loved the Ellen's blue glaze. One young couple made me smile when they made a beeline for a large hand-built bowl that I have right now (in Ellen's blue, of course) and stood there for a few minutes ogling it.
