At one point this afternoon, the Endeavor's thermometer read 115 degrees. That's hot. As in too hot (or hoo tot).

Today was brought to you by the letters H (for hot) and E (for errands). Fredericksburg was the target of my mad dash of errands for all the things ...
  • Mailed out another item sold on ebay (yay for reducing our junk)
  • Picked up dog food (the puppies say yay for more kibbles)
  • Dropping off EIGHT boxes of stuff off at GoodWill (Yay for clearing even more junk out of the basement)
  • Trigger point injections and massage therapy (Yay for my back doing better & my new Birks getting the PA's stamp of approval)
  • Grocery shopping at Wegmans and BJ's (we are so stocked up for this weekend)
  • A green tea frappe from Starbucks (cold icy goodness)
Okay, so the last one wasn't on my errand list per se but I really needed an afternoon pick-me-up!

Best conversation of the day goes to the lady who did my massage therapy. We were talking tattoos and she told me about her son coming to her (before he was 18) and asking if he could get a tattoo. The answer was "Not until you're 18 and pay for it yourself." Apparently said teenager got anxious (and saved his money) and asked again. Apparently she had a change of heart and told him that yes he could get one but with the stipulation that she name what and where. He came back after a few days and asked what she had in mind...

She said that he could get "MOM" inked on his penis. That way he would think of her often and less it be embarrassing to have "MOM" tattooed on his penis, he could just tell his girlfriends that it said "WOW".

Bloody awesome, I tell you!

On my way into F'burg I passed a Rappahannock Electric Co-op (REC) truck and I gave the guys an enthusiastic thumbs up. In town, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Quality Inn had changed their marquee to thank all of the utility and emergency workers. There was also a homemade thank you sign in someone's yard on Ely's Ford Road. Nice stuff to see in this day and age.

Speaking of nice stuff to see, on the way out of F'burg on Route 3 there is a Domino's Pizza. For last many weeks, there has been a guy out on the corner with a Domino's sign of some sort (they change and one looks like a huge slice of pizza). He is always dancing and jumping about, pointing and giving the thumbs up to cars that wave or honk at him. More noticeably than that is the amazing grin on the guy's face the entire. You just can't go by him without smiling. Last time I was in town on the bike, I honked and he got all excited when he saw it was someone on a bike.

The crazy thing though? The guy was out TODAY - in 100 degree heat - dancing and bee-bopping and grinning ear-to-ear.

Kinda makes ya want a pizza ... even if it is from Domino's.
