What a wonderful day!

daecabhir and I had a very nice day today! Well, except for the part where my brain woke up at 6 am and refused to go back to bed!

After a yummy breakfast, we headed to Fredericksburg to do some shopping and to meet friends of his (Greg and Sara) for lunch. We knocked several things off of our shopping list - a new pillow for him, new capris for her, beer shopping for us both (okay, so I came home with lambic) and some other goodies to boot. 

Meeting Greg, Sara and their three boys was delightful. The adults fell into easy conversation while the young boys did their best to behave during all of that boring adult talk. We will be looking forward to visiting them in the hopefully not too far away future.

After our late lunch, we did a bit more shopping - several goodies for the house and the puppies were procured.

The adorkable duo were happy to arrive back at country home for sure! daecabhir gets an MVP award for sticking a bottle of lambic in the freezer for me so that I could enjoy a glass of right away.

Tomorrow will find us doing some things around the house and enjoying each other's company.
