We did what you're supposed to do while on vacation - slept in and ate too much!
While we enjoyed this week with friends, we didn't put down our deposit for next year; there are other places that we would like to see and, well, maybe, we are just a little greedy about spending time together alone.
On the way home from NC, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch and I had some of the best fried chicken ever. Yummy! Their Cranberry-Apple iced tea was also a delightful find. Sadly their vegetarian offerings are practically nil unless you count breakfast foods.
While at the beach, I booked my first two-day craft show (Augusta, VA) that will be held in November. With the Taste of Culpeper already booked and my application for the Eagles craft show, I've now got four show dates booked for this fall.
Egads - now I need to spend some time in the studio!
I also need to spend some time sewing since

Speaking of the weekend, it looks like we will have decent weather for faire (although a bit of rain is creeping into the forecast).
Looks like the critters helped helped themselves to whatever figs were left on the tree. There are some green ones but they won't ripen with the cooler temperatures settling in.
Mom's computer is dead and sitting in our office so that we can hopefully get it resurrected. Wish me luck!
