Whew and wow
October 1st, 2012 10:22 pmAs I was logging in to post here at LJ, I saw that my post counter has hit 1700; I guess that means I am verbose or something. Keeping track of my post count is not something that I have ever done - I just post when I feel like it or have the time or actually have thoughts to put into words. Round numbers like that catch my eye though even if they are not statistically important.
daecabhir and I had another lovely weekend at MDRF. There was time spent in
dreamtigress' booth, as well as walk-about time (especially since our walk-about time has come to an end really - but more about that later). There was even time for shopping! After quite a bit of looking, we found a replacement for my lost thumb ring! It's a small sterling silver shiny - nothing too fancy or elaborate, but it fits well and I adore the design. My honey and I treated ourselves to a new faire shirt each from Bullseye; both in wonderful, washable silk; his is an earthly plum color and mine a gray with green overtones.
Since you might be curious about the 'end of walk-about time' comment, it seems that I will be spending our last two weekends of faire working for Tessem Stoneware. Not something that was planned but Terry has no one to work for him and it just seems like the right thing to do. He's been an amazing help to me in pottery matters and I am honored and somewhat speechless by his generosity. To 'pay' me for working for him the weekend before this past one, he gifted me with a banding wheel. He also brought in 200 pounds of clay for me to practice with (cylinders, cylinders, cylinders) so that I am not fretting over blowing through my own clay.
I'm a very lucky girl.
