pandasheart: Panda's Heart (huh?)
After both Dr. Truong and Dr. Hernandez checked out my arm, both of them agreed it was 'tennis elbow' and gave me some instructions for treating it at home. I combined both doctors' information and my arm got better for a little while, but the pain is back. So I mentioned the issue to Dr. Ward, my chiropractor (who also plays tennis) and he not only gave me a much better examine than the other two, but said that it's not tennis elbow at all! It's tendonitis. He treated it (along with my back and hip cracking) and told me to use warm, moist heat and pressure and tell him next month how it's doing.

So what else is going on?

My hips - They still hurt. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Truong's PA, Stephanie this week. She seemed surprised that I haven't had an MRI on my hips yet. She gave me a script to have inserts made for my leg length discrepancy because even if that did not cause the bursitis, it's not helping it either. We opted to do a round of trigger point injections on my hips (code owie) and see how it goes. Dr. Ward asked how my hips were doing when I saw him today and he concurs that trying some conservative treatments before going the PRP route is a wise choice. He explained in a lot of detail what goes on in the hips and connecting parts - more so than anyone else.

Drugs - So far, so good with taking a half-dose of med #1 at night. Hopefully that will do the trick.

That's enough health crap. Goddess knows that I am getting sick of it myself!

This past Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] 1painter42 came over to deliver some new-to-[livejournal.com profile] daecabhir tools for his wood shop. She imported them all the way from NJ for us and we kidnapped her for dinner at Culpeper Thai to say thank you.

On Sunday, my most-awesome-husband and I went to pick up the first load of stuff from a local potter who is liquidating her studio. After much thought and discussion, I'll be buying her kiln, vent system, extruder and shelving for my studio. It's a pretty good deal and she's throwing in a lot of items that she no longer needs. The kiln is larger and newer than my old Duncan so it will become my main kiln with the Duncan as an overflow kiln.

Today, after a comedy of errors, I finally sold the utility trailer. Sure wish I could have sold it _before_ I bought the cargo trailer, but things worked out the way they were supposed to, I reckon.

Oddly enough, I don't really have any knitting projects going at the moment, unless you count my long-standing WIP first socks. I really need to watch that heel video again and work on that darned thing.
