Another day of stuff getting done
April 18th, 2013 09:48 pmAfter kicking off the glaze kiln at 8 am and seeing my honey off to work, I set about with my day. In no particular order, here's what I got accomplished:
Now to check the kiln again, it should be reaching temperature soon and kicking off.
- Sewed the final touch on a few fan pouches and then fought with the Kenmore sewing machine. Gave up after several tries, two new needles, a thread change out, removing the base plate and blowing all the guts with compressed air.
- Saved us over $500 on our homeowner's policy. I called Liberty Mutual to find out why our policy had hit with a 30% increase and after a re-quote, the policy down. Just for the asking.
- Two loads of laundry done and put away.
- Dishwasher ran and dishes put away.
- Wrapped presents (we have a lot of May birthdays)
- Brought the garbage out and the empty can back in.
- Change the padlock on the trailer.
- Found a padlock for the cashbox cable.
- Played with the cover for my chair to use at VARF. Not happy with the results yet so nothing hit the sewing machine.
- Paid some bills.
- Left a message for the chimney guy.
- Made a yummy dinner.
- Loaded two boxes of fans into the trailer.
- Condensed some of my stuff from three bins to two bins in the basement. Stowed extra blankets in one of the empty bins. Stowed pillows in the cedar chest. We have a LOT of spare pillows!
