Getting stuff done

Yesterday was a Culpeper day and after I stopped to count them up, I realized that I had made ten eleven (I just recounted) stops during the course of my day. Among the highlights...

• A nice lunch with njzoomom at the China Garden.


• Got myself a fancy-schmancy house key so that I find it easier on my key ring.


• Scoring some decent music CDs and a big bag of sewing notions at GoodWill.


• Getting rid of more stuff we don't need at GoodWill.


• Finding yummy manicotti at Aldi's.


• Settling on a case for my sunglasses because it's really pretty and after looking for weeks I gave up.

Today was another glazing day in the studio and the kiln is ready to fire tomorrow. There are still pots to be glazed but I want to see how the smokey merlot fires before I glaze more.

daecabhir's pinky is doing well. He's down-graded to a regular band-aid from the huge, winged finger tip affair. He heals quickly which is good thing[tm].

After my honey helped me noodle through the tent cover pattern last night,; he made the most excellent suggestion that I should try making one with scrap fabric before trying the real deal. I knocked a test cover out this afternoon and it came out as planned. Yay for a really helpful partner who is good at sorting this stuff out.
