So Happy It's Thursday
June 20th, 2013 11:49 pmI'll let you sort out the acronym for yourself.
daecabhir and I have fun with it on a weekly basis.
Today was another Fredericksburg day - that makes two in a row for this week. Yesterday's trip was me giving up on my right arm and finally seeing an orthopedic about what has been bothering me now since January. Tennis elbow? Golf elbow? Tendinitis? Honestly, I don't care what it's called, I just want to rid of it. Dr. O'Brien put my injury in the Tennis/Golf elbow category sort of. There's no damage on top of the elbow. He says that he calls it "Life elbow" meaning that it just happens sometimes. He took xrays to rule out anything funky (including arthritis - the bone is fine) and gave me a brace to wear around my arm just below the elbow.
Today,
njzoomom and I went to F'burg so that we could have lunch and go shopping at BJs after my chiropractic appointment. Dr. Ward worked my hips, back, and neck, and then did some laser treatment to the sore arm to help increase blood flow. He warned that if the brace makes anything worse, that I should stop wearing it immediately.
Had a very nice lunch at Guru with Mom. The food is always good there and so is the service. Sadly, something I had is not sitting well in my stomach which is why I am still awake at this hour. It's not their food, it's my wacky belly. I've already told
daecabhir that I will be calling Dr. Hernandez tomorrow about my persistent tummy issues.
After noticing that my Birks have a crack in them (ACK!) and finding no information online about any sort of warranty, I called the shop we purchased them. Seems the crack is fairly normal - it's right where your foot bends. The crack isn't noticeable on
daecabhir s Birks because his have leather right over where it would crack. The helpful gal told me a little about possible fixes but the most important thing that she told me was there is a new color in the style that I like called raspberry wine and it is SO sexy! Yup. That's my girlie moment of the day right there.
One other news tidbit that I learned today is that the food that we have been feeding the dogs for quite some time has been recalled due to salmonella. Ugh. The dogs have been fine but it is still a pretty big concern.
Tonight Verizon was being persnickety when
daecabhir and I were chatting (we talk on his commute home). Our called dropped and since he couldn't tell me about the beautiful sunset, he stopped to take a picture of the sunset so that he could share it with me when he got here. Best. Partner. Ever.
