Zap and stuff
July 9th, 2013 09:21 pmHad Connor's Pest Control come out to the house today to give us an estimate on taking care of the creepy crawlies that surround (and invade) our country home. After calling the national chains and being given quotes over the phone with no physical inspection of the premises,
daecabhir and I were glad that
1painter42 recommended Connor's - they sent a representative out quickly to assess our situation.
Turns out the insect invasion that we experienced on the evening of the 6th when
1painter42 was here was an ant swarm. This is the second time that this has happened only this time it was a lot more bugs. The Connor's rep was able to scoop up dead bugs in his hands so that he could examine them. Yuck!
In the afternoon, another contractor came by to check out the master bath and the studio work that we want to have done. The chap seems competent and was highly recommended by our chimney guy. I can only hope that he actually comes through with numbers and that those number are realistic. While the contractor was here, the well pump was doing it's 'running constantly' thing and he asked about it. He said that he doubted that there is a leak in the water line and said that everything pointed to a faulty valve on the well pump itself.
