A literary burp of 100 words
September 29th, 2014 04:43 pmMy sister introduced us.
He was dashing, wearing a cavalier hat (complete with plumage); with a warm smile that spoke volumes and a booming laugh that was music to my ears.
I was newly-divorced and while I knew it was time to start dating, I wasn’t so sure about my prospects at 40-something.
A shared dinner with friends and a serious conversation about the taste of shiny. Talking long into the night – again. And again.
Four days later – we said I love you. Waiting only because neither of us could believe our good fortune.
Thank you so much, sister!
