Another pretty day in a string of nice weather. Since the Wing has not made it out of the garage in a long time, I decided to ride over to Mom's. After rolling the bike out, checking the tires, gathering up my gear, loading up the bike, putting the dogs in their crates, I am ready to get on the road.

Turn the key ... nada. No sound, no clicks, no engine purr. The battery is as dead as a door knob.

Okay. This is a minor setback. I'll just connect my Battery Tender so the battery gets some juice, and take the Endeavor over to Mom's (which allows for the dogs to come with me). So I go to my garage cabinet to get my ... ummm ... it's gone. My Battery Tender is AWOL.

I have a really good idea of where it is and who took it.

For the love of horses, I am so fed up with the penny ante crap that the ex is pulling! Seriously, taking the fire extinguisher that came with the house? My oil change pan? My prescription allergy medicine? Now my Battery Tender?

The only thing I really say about the whole mess is, "Three-fold".

Anyhow, ominous baloney aside, I packed up the dogs (boy were they happy!) and off we went to Mom's. We had yummy crepes with strawberries for brunch and a very delicious prime rib in the afternoon. I got to play with the pit bulls puppies Mom is fostering; they are about 9 days old now and are very cute. Tucker and Duchess got to play with the other dogs and the dozen dog bones Mom has. My project for the day was fixing some trim on the minivan that has been loose for a while now. Mom also sent me home with a push mower and leaf blower to borrow, not to mention some leftover crepes, strawberries and prime rib.

We also had a hilarious 3-way speaker phone conversation with my sister that included me on my hands and knees with the phone in with the puppies so she could hear adorable puppy grunts and squeals.

Another upshot is that my attorney says she will contact the ex's lawyer and inform him that if they delay any longer the dates in the agreement will have to change to afford me the best chance of getting the refinancing on the house done.

Treadmill = zero (it's a holiday for crying out loud!)

Note to self: Posting to LJ after your Ambien kicks in is most likely an unwise decision.
