A slow start

Because a certain someone (me) was stubborn last night and did not make a fire or go downstairs to fetch my space heater, it was pretty chilly when I woke up. It seems that this put me into hibernation mode and I was a bit of a slug for the first part of the morning.
When I emerged from my slugness, I actually got some stuff accomplished around the house. Today's projects included:
My attorney contacted me around lunchtime to let me know she has the settlement agreement. We will meet tomorrow so that I can sign it, get the copies notarized and so that I can give several documents that need the ex's signature. Due to the ex's recent behavior, I no longer trust that he will sign the documents for me and feel that this is best handled through the lawyers.
Since I had not heard back from the agency regarding the marketing company in Warrenton, I wrote to ABR with my contract request. Of course, not long after the email was sent, the agency called. I let them know to put my name in the hat, just in case.
Because of the chilly start this morning, I made sure the heater was in place for tonight. Not longer after I get it all set up and running, Duchess came into the room. She came by me for some petting and flopped down on a dog bed. A few minutes later Tucker came in for his petting; however, when he saw the heater, he snaked in to sniff at it and started growling and barking at it! He kept this up for a bit and Duchess came over to see what the fuss about it. I think she may have rolled her eyes at Tucker! Both dogs got more loving and Tucker finally decided that the heater was not a threat.
When I emerged from my slugness, I actually got some stuff accomplished around the house. Today's projects included:
- Mowing half the drain field
- Moving shower heads, take II
- Discovering that the tall shower head hardware was broken. Judging by what I saw, I think it got a bit mangled during installation. Next step in this process is trying to remove the remaining broken fixture thread from my copper pipe!
- Hanging another picture
- Doing some more raking
- Blowing out the second garage and driveway
- Going through a pile of wood scraps and getting it tidied up
- Laundry, dishes and other assorted boring household chores
