Well, yes, I am So Happy It's Thursday!
Happy Birthday to
dreamtigress !
In the good news, bad news department we have the following exhibits:
Commute in was not too bad but I left earlier than I have been.
Commute home was about 1 hour and 45 minutes but I missed a turn on the back roads which probably cost me 15 minutes.
With the nice weather, I have been taking the bike which saves a fair amount in gas money. It really seems that the commute home is going to be the crap shoot.
The president asked to speak with me today. She let me know that since I have been the company (all of one week) she has been impressed with my knowledge and leadership skills. She has asked me to consider taking on the entire role of production management for the company. We are both concerned about the commute that I face and if/when I get tired of making it. She feels confident that I will build a team strong enough to deal with my inevitable absences.
A lot to think about!
She also asked me to have lunch with the top brass so that it would be clear to everyone of my position within the company. She's a shrewd cookie and I like that.
On a side note, it turns out that ABR will receive a tax credit just for hiring me since I have been unemployed for a while. Our tax dollars at work!
Once more a HUGE thank you goes to my Mom for meeting the HVAC guy here today. She really is the bestest Mom ever.
Happy Birthday to

In the good news, bad news department we have the following exhibits:
- Good news - Mortgage assumption paperwork came back from Chase today.
- Bad news - It's going to cost over $3,000 to close on my own home!
- Good news - There does not seem to be much more paperwork needed for the mortgage assumption.
- Bad news - The ex has to sign one of the documents.
- Good news - The AC seems to be fixed.
- Bad news - They are going to bill me.
