pandasheartMy friend's flight was delayed FOUR hours last night and did not come in until 11 pm. Next time the government ponders bailing out the airlines I will say NO!

dreamtigress and I pretty much kidnapped my friend for today and the three of us went to the VA Ren Faire (VARF). We had an excellent time. While VARF is still very much a small faire, it has grown a lot since I was last there. As a little inside joke, dreamtigress and I dressed in matching garb - me in a black velvet skirt with a maroon top and she in a maroon skirt with a black top. Even our kidnappee had garb to wear. Highlights of the day included having the time to shop all of the vendors, finding a magnificent piece of petrified wood that is simply magical, spinach-artichoke pitas and getting my very own personal serenade (something that my sister arranged).
VARF's run is quite short, but I hope to go back at least once before it is over.
