Rumor still has it that the regular second shift supervisor is coming back to work on the 27th which means this is my LAST week on the second shift!

WOOHOO

I am ready! Ready to go back to the land of the living. Ready to not miss half of the happenings of the day. Ready.

This week has found me trying to catch the VP in so we can discuss both an exit strategy from second shift & a re-entry strategy for me. She has been sick & I have had a sinking feeling that nothing will happen until it is too late.

The ex brought dinner to the office tonight for me & it was a nice treat. He even brought some cheesecake for dessert!

Hopefully this weekend will find us FINALLY working on the flooring in our kitchen. We were SUPPOSED to do it last weekend but we found that we need to use an underlayment even though we are installing the flooring over the linoleum for a sound barrier. (The linoleum acts as the moisture barrier.) Sure wish they had told us all this when we bought the flooring because now Lowe's is out of the old underlayment & is waiting for the new stock to come in.
