Home again!

pandasheartBeing back home feels nice after a week away. I am sitting at my keyboard (with real keys, not virtual ones) and sipping some herbal tea with honey in an effect to gain some voice back.
Mom dropped the dogs back home so that they would be here when I got home - what a great reception they gave me and the friends that came with me. Duchess is limping a bit on her left front leg - seems she might have strained it at Mom's running up and down the stairs too much.
After playing about with some apps for posting on LJ via my Droid, it seems that using m.livejournal.com is the best route. Also after playing around all week on just the Droid with no "real" keyboard back up, I think that maybe I should have exchanged the Incredible for the Droid 2 ... or even better yet would be a regular cell phone and a small net pad/iPad. Oh well, next time I will be all the more wiser!
Even with being sick, the beach trip was wonderful! Getting together again with some old friends and meeting new ones was fabulous. The food was fantastic, the laughs were outrageous and the fun contagious. Speaking of contagious, I certainly hope that no one on trip comes down with my cold!
It seems that my monitor may be dead. It will not stay running for more than a minute. It's a very nice Samsung - if any of my geekoid friends have any words of wisdom for me, I would appreciate your input. For now I am using a back up monitor.
A little more unpacking for me and then it is off to bed.
