Cricket is quite alert, eating, drinking & etc., but still unable to use her front legs yet. It seems she has some muscle control in the shoulder with the smashed elbow, but unless that joint manages to fuse together without infection, that leg will most likely be amputated ... provided she is able to use the other front leg. After discussing it over with Mom, we will give her this week & re-assess things.

The antibiotics seem to have worked because my wisdom tooth issue is down to a dull roar. I used up what drugs I had & am down to 1/2 a pain pill a day. Sounds like progress to me. Even though our allergies kicked in a bit early, they don't seem to be bad for either of us. Maybe the dry weather (probably the driest March in history) has helped.

Brian & I are shopping for a new gas grill. If anyone has any words of wisdom, please post 'em; neither of us has purchased one before. The one we have now came with the house & it is giving up the ghost. Thankfully Brian doesn't need the behemoth-mega-grill for $2,000. I just want safe & affordable.

This weekend found us working on the flooring again. Like many projects, the odds & ends take longer than the main part of the project. We have two door jams, two entrances to transition & a few pieces of molding left to go. What is done looks GREAT. Now all we need is new appliances & a new dining room set to complete the transformation. HAHA

I've had my Weber (Silver Genesis B model???) for over 5 years now and am happy with it. Initially it seemed expensive but it has lasted and performed well. It is certainly large enough to cook some steaks or chops. I don't cook for more that two usually and never do whole Mastodon anymore. It has a table on one side to rest my plate, spatula, and spices. It has a hook on the other side to hang my grill scrubbing wire brush. The gauge telling you how much propane is left works by the weight of the tank and it at best approximate, but better than nothing at all. The tank is easy to remove when refill time comes. My grill stays outdoors all the time so I bought t a Weber cover. It was $60 years ago and I nearly fell over at the cost but it is heavier vinyl and lasts. Hope this helps.
