How can May be over already? I am not done with it yet!
Birthdays flew by too fast ... I still owe my sister her birthday present! The ex's trip to New Hampshire feels like it happened so long ago, it doesn't seem that it took place this month at all.
Where the heck did May go?
We were having this marvelous spring ~ right up until this weekend. Starting Tuesday, our weather has turned into an oppressive mass of humid air that seems stuck right on top of us. I want spring back, thank you very much.
What has been going on?
The ex passed his motorcycle course at the local community college. I rode to the campus on both Saturday & Sunday for a visit. It was a bit odd watching a safety class as a former Instructor. Sadly, I was not impressed with either of the Rider Coaches (they are no longer called Instructors). I had to bite my tongue from wanting to help both the students & the two Coaches throughout the 2 days.
Zoe is buried under a small rose bush behind the house. She should have some roses blooming soon. The friend that dubbed her a "fruit dreamer" has suggested that the blooms will be slightly fruit-scented. << warm smile >>
Memorial Day weekend found us wonderfully busy with friends. Saturday & Sunday, we had some a couple down ::: waves to B & J ::: that we have not gotten to see in a few years. There was much good food, awesome company, great conversations & a fantabulous cherry wine from the PA Ren Faire. Monday found us trekking to Luray with 2 friends from EverQuest. We visited our potters & hit Rainbow Hill for lunch. I pre-ordered a strawberry-rhubarb pie & will savor every bite of it during the week.
Life at work is still a bit hectic as the new management team is trying to "gel" & I figure out my path. The Data Processing department, for which I am now in charge, needs a lot of help & guidance, not to mention trying to harness our production resources into the best product that it can be.
Whew! I got tired just by typing that ~ now I have to do it!

thanks for the shout-out
Date: 6/1/06 10:41 am (UTC)We still have to tackle a room here and there, but very soon we'll be ready to reciprocally host. Your futon gave us an idea of how to furnish what will be our library (now dominated by the kid's totally unused waterbed), although we'll need to consider Brian's unique physical needs.
Many thanks and much love,
B&J
