Whew! We made it!

pandasheartThis afternoon, we trekked to the Currituck Lighthouse. It's one of the prettier ones, I think, being solid unpainted brick. I hadn't really planned on climbing to the top, but Brian made the decision for me. Just over 200 steps in all!
The view was AMAZING from the top! We could see both the sound & the Atlantic. The wind up there was pretty darn impressive too! I was a little nervous, but did not focus on looking straight down, just out to the horizon.
Coming DOWN was another story! It's much easier to climb up than down ... a made a little scarier in flip flops! LOL
The gift shop has a beautiful pottery platter with embossed horses in it. I fell in love with it in a heartbeat. I'm not sure that we'll be able to go back to buy it ... I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.
No word on the Dodge yet ... hopefully we will learn something tomorrow.
