Interviewed today with the Dominion Construction Group in Warrenton. They are a relatively new firm with a lot of experienced folks. The position open is for an accounting assistant. Sort of not what I do, but I think we can live on the starting salary. Plus it is a job that I can learn to do with a little help & not have the huge amount of stress that came with my job at AKA.
Met with the VP of Development & head of Accounting. They told me I have an impressive resume & that they really liked my skills sets. It was also observed several times that I will fit in very well with the 15 people office staff.
The plan is that they will be interviewing for two weeks & will be calling back around 5 folks for a second interview with the head honcho.
One catch is that the position will not start until mid-April or mid-May. They do know that I will keep looking in the meantime. As a plus, the VP will be passing my resume along to their marketing firm which is also located in Warrenton.
A funny side note: The VP met with the President of AKA regarding building a Catholic High School. Small world!
Today was VERY windy; in fact as I was walking to the job interview, a sign blew off a building & landed right behind me!
