War!

Watched an all-out battle this morning between two hummingirds!  They flew around & around with each other - so close, I thought for sure they would bump into each other & fall to the ground.  They dive-bombed each other repeatedly & at one point one had its beak clamped down on the other.  They ended up on the deck where one had the other other pinned to the ground!  They stayed that way for at least 45 seconds.  I tried to get them on film, but of course, missed the action.

very exciting, we've seen them chasing one another, but nothing this dramatic! Maybe the one in the one you found in the garage the other day was hiding from the other one! They were both males, right?

Yanno ... I am not 100% sure about the one from the garage, since I never got a really good look at its front, but I think it was a female ... or maybe a young male.
