Two in a row & Visitors
January 4th, 2007 07:41 amAnother amazing sunrise this morning. Dark with lots of pink & orange on the underside of deep purple clouds. I never get tired of looking at stuff like this.
We had a late night visitor last night in the garage ... a young Beagle bitch. Cute as a button, very slight, about half the size of Cooper & scared to death. Brian fed her some kibble. We are not sure if she belongs to the guy across the road or not. His dogs are usually pretty ugly. I mean really ugly.
We fixed the little Beagle up with something to lay on, water & a few biscuits. We left the garage door cracked open so she could leave if she wanted. When I went to check on her before going bed, I discovered that we now had 4 Beagle bitches in the garage. Word must have gotten out.
The 3 new girls were even more scared than our first little friend. At least we could pet her a bit. I spread out some more biscuits, checked the water dish & went to bed.
When Brian woke me up at 6 am, I asked him if we had any visitors in the garage (he did not know about the extra Beagles last night). He told me that when he checked this morning there were FIVE Beagles in the garage. Hmmm
When I checked the garage, I only saw the original little girl. She wags her tail & seems so happy to see people, but cowers when approached (or when you just let her approach you). The water bowl was bone dry, so I filled it up & when I returned, a second Beagle was present but would not come anywhere near me.
I hope they enjoy their visit!
