Very sad news ... Kurt Vonnegut has passed away at age 84.
My passion for Vonnegut's writings is something that came very early. In high school, Slaughterhouse Five was on the reading list, I demanded to know why more Vonnegut wasn't on the list. Slaughterhouse Five is a good one, but what about Slapstick? What about Breakfast of Champions?
His biting humor & satire were delightfully dark & I devoured everything I could get my hands that he crafted.
Hi ho Mr Vonnegut. May you find the chrono-synclastic infundibula & spend eternity there if you so desire. While you are at it, take a flying fuck at a rolling donut. Take a flying fuck at the mooooooooooooooooooooon!
