Almost time to go home - woot!
Last night we put the heat on for first time this season. It may have been a good night for a fire, but the living room is still full of furniture boxes. With the long Indian summer that we have enjoyed, the cold temperature still comes as a shock. Brian set the thermostat for 69 degrees; I hope we can learn to live with the house a bit colder to save on our heating bill.
I still plan on rushing home to get out in the woods, although I think I will find a new spot. This way the deer can learn to sneak up on me in a new place. Seriously, being able to get out in the nice weather as well as so often has been really awesome. Sitting in the cold will certainly not be as much fun once winter sets in.
