Woke up this morning a bit chilly ... it had dipped down to the 30's overnight and I had not turned my heat on! Tonight's fix is a fire in the wood stove. Between the AC being a little funky and dog toys in my vents, I would prefer not to run the heat pump at all.

This afternoon I had a wonderful visit with 1painter42 and her hubby. Yummy food and great company ensued. Since we have not seen each other in so long, we exchanged birthday presents and Christmas gifts! I think this is a new record for me.

Duchess, the poor thing, now has the kennel crud that the AmStaff rescue dog that is at Mom's has. She sounds awful but her demeanor is still happy and she eats like a horse. Tucker seems to be cutting a little slack in the play department ... unless she starts it and then it's game on!

Speaking of game on, one thing I enjoy when we go to the Fredericksburg Pub is watching a little rugby. The differences between American football and rugby are so amazing! Plus the game does not revolve around commercials. And, it seems, a lot of the rugby players are so cute! LOL
