Puny update
February 3rd, 2012 09:51 pmToday has been brought you to by the letter for P, for puny. I don't feel sick, but I certainly don't feel 100% either. My hunch is that I have been fighting a sinus infection for quite some time now. Hopefully, by the end of next week I will know for sure - I've made an appointment with my GP for the first time in a while.
Yesterday's big excitement came in the form of a stuck minivan. Mom had come over so that we could play furniture swap. I was giving her back the dresser I had been borrowing and she gave me two sewing tables and a 6x9 carpet for my sewing nook in the basement. We had a yummy lunch (fried chicken from Popeye's) and then set about to empty the van. Since many hands make light work, we went ahead and re-arranged things in the sewing nook and once that was set, we were going to re-convene to load the dresser.
That was plan except the ground on the side of the house ate Mom's van. After several tries to get the van moving with the only result bring that is was sliding closer and closer to our [still fairly new] chain link fence, we gave up. I drove Mom and Wilma home by way of stopping in Culpeper to pick up prescriptions for Mom and business forms for me.
With any luck after two dry days,
daecabhir and I will be able to drive the van tomorrow morning and deliver it back to Mom.
