That was fast!
April 8th, 2012 08:18 pmI blinked and a whole week went by!
No word on the Wing yet ... I hope no news is good news. Either way the news is bound to be expensive.
Going back to Dr. Truong is paying off. More trigger point injections in my back and things are starting to loosen up a bit. Add in the massage therapist who has worked on my back, legs and plantar fasciitis for a winning combination.
This past Friday found me back at Manassas Clay - this time to pick up my glazed pottery. Lots of pleasant surprises; all in all everything turned out pretty much okay. Sadly, the casserole dish cracked along a top seam but just that fact that I made one makes me pretty happy. (Although I doubt I will use that method in my studio, it was good to learn.)
All of the plants and trees are doing well. I picked up two additional cabaret grasses for the front. We finished mulching yesterday.
njzoomom gave us 12 more Arbor Day Foundation wee baby trees to plant and those are all in pots in the front yard.
Speaking of
njzoomom,
daecabhir and I had a nice lunch with her yesterday (for Easter) at Thai Culpeper. My favorite dish there is the Pad See Ew and it is always awesome. This time, however, it tasted different and was not quite as good. It also did not sit very well in my tummy. Ugh.
daecabhir and I managed to get a lot accomplished this weekend ... my studio has spiffy new lights, we have a new outlet in the basement (my man rocks!), the backyard looks awesome after we removed a ton of leaves, we got in some reading time, I got in some knitting (practice sock and finished a hat that has been on the loom for months) and I spent time cleaning up pottery.
The kiln is almost full with a load of greenware to be bisque fired. I probably would have run it today but with needing to cut the power to add the outlet in the basement, it wasn't an option.

The following contains a rant, so feel free to click away from my blog now.
Honestly, people, if you say you are going to do something - bloody well do it!
This seems to be a recurring theme and it's pissing me off to no end.
Example:
Folks from Craigslist and Freecycle committing to pick up an item and then not showing up or following up at all. How hard is it really to send an email to say, "Hey, I'm not coming."?
GROWL!
