Hot enough for ya?
July 4th, 2012 10:05 pmWith temps reaching around the 100 degree mark every day this week, you can bet your hat that we are staying in the AC as much as possible. And thankfully we have AC to stay in - some friends down in the Roanoke area are still without power!
Looks like we had a tree casualty from the storm after all; a beech (I think) was topped and came crashing very close to the second garage. At one point we'll need someone with a big chainsaw and know-how to deal with a few timber issues that are going on around country home.
daecabhir had today off (YAY!) and we got a LOT accomplished around country home...
I know _may_ have said this before but I have the best partner on the planet. No. Really!
The neighbors are setting off fireworks which the dogs are not very happy about. Hopefully they will run out of explosives soon and go to bed. (Letting us all do the same.)
Tomorrow will find me in Fredericksburg for an appointment with Dr. Truong, grocery shopping, dog food procuring and a drop off to GoodWill.
Oh ... I also get to pick up my new eye drops. Seems the eye doctor feels that my vision should be better than what it is with my new glasses and that it very well may be a result of my eyes being too dry. The drops will help my eyes make tears. Kudos to the Wegmans' pharmacy for ordering the drops for me without so much as seeing my prescription.
