Sales & stuff
August 2nd, 2012 08:47 pmYesterday's outing at the Culpeper farmers' market proved to be the best yet - three sales resulting in four pieces finding new homes. I got to use my spiffy new black tables for my set-up (sans their sexy new covers which have not yet arrived). Two of the three sales were to folks new to the market which is a good sign.
After the market,
njzoomom and I had too-much-Chinese food for lunch and after that, we took her back to HairCuttery to get the awful haircut she received fixed. (Mission accomplished - go Mom!)
Today found me in Culpeper again for a dental cleaning. I can honestly say that I have never made a dentist or dental hygienist happy ... until today. Jeanne, my hygienist, (the wonderful lady who checked on me on her day off after I was sick under nitrous) danced around the office and hugged after finding that in just five months of diligent care, I have made my mouth happy and normal. Yay for finally finding a dental regime that I can actually follow! We did find that one of my old silver fillings needs to be replaced (oh joy) so I will be back in the chair in three weeks.
Speaking of chairs, today was pedicure day! I went to a salon near the dentist's office and got a very good pedi. It's a salon that I've had my nails done at a time or two but it's just not that convenient because I am rarely on that end of town. I'll be going back though for sure next time my toes need sprucing up.
All that good stuff and don't you know someone had to go and piss me off ... Apple Federal Credit Union - of which I have been a member since the early 90's. Seems that their CSRs don't know sh^t from shinola when it comes to doing business with remotely via the shared branch centers. I have been given so much misinformation it's not funny. I chose them carefully to be my financial institution of choice for P3 but it is not looking good for them to keep any of my business at all after this fiasco.
