Where does it go?
November 2nd, 2012 06:33 pmThe time? Where does it all go? How does it go by so fast?
We weathered storm mostly okay (a leak in the living room) and as a result of the hurricane, I got an extra two days with
daecabhir. Of course, he is paying the piper now (literally) because he's making up the lost time. The aforementioned leak in the living room was the result of a gap that has developed between the house and chimney; the contractor could see daylight from the attic! He patched everything up for us but he discovered that our chimney cap (the concrete one) is cracked and needs replacing. He feels it could very well be a result of the earthquake because it was not damaged when they replaced the roof.
There's been some studio time and some cylinders created; there's a batch of small mugs in the kiln waiting to be fired, along with the first small yarn bowls. I should be firing the kiln tomorrow and running it again next week - this will give more stock to take to the Augusto Expo show next weekend.
After MANY cast-ons, Heather's scarf is finally underway and looking good. The ladies on Ravelry never cease to amaze; their suggestions, advice, support and guidance is simply wonderful. Out of the blue a lady that I don't know offered to send a loom knitting book for free and not even charge me shipping for it. People can be so generous and wonderful.
Time to start dinner and so my typing time is over!
